A day after Mayor Castenada's arrest, news spread quickly through Brockport and community members shared their reactions.

Some expressed their disappointment with Castenada's alleged actions.

She and her live-in boyfriend now face numerous charges.

Some members of the community feel as though their elected officials should be ones to count on.

"You know I think they should be more responsible because people are putting them in power, but not to abuse it necessarily. Just to be responsible with it," one resident said.

"Who knows what's going to happen to her. Doesn't sound good," said another resident.

Castenada and Giancursio are due back in Sweden Town Court at the end of the month.

Investigators say additional charges are pending.
